The Worcester County 4-H Fair is a very big part of both of their families as they were raising their own children. Now both women have grown children and they continue to give themselves to all the 4-H members who participate in the 4-H Fair.

Evelyn raised her family in Oakham. When her children were growing up, she led a 4-H sheep club and today she continues to organize and run the sheep show at the 4-H Fair every year. Several families from clubs outside of Worcester County come to our fair especially to participate in the wonderfully run 4-H sheep show. They always talk about how helpful Evelyn is and how good she is to them when they have questions or need something explained.

In addition to the sheep show, Evelyn has also chaired the 4-H art commodity for several years. Art is a large commodity with many entries and requires much patience and attention to detail. Evelyn has been a great resource to the new commodity chairs for art when they have had questions or dilemmas.

Leslie raised her daughter Staci in Upton and also led a 4-H club while Staci was growing up. Leslie s daughter has been an adult for several years now but she continues to mentor and lead clubs in Upton and at Heifer Project s Overlook Farm in Rutland.

Leslie runs the 4-H rabbit and cavy shows, no small feat given all the organization that goes along with the shows. Often people come away from the show saying how much Leslie cares about the 4-H members and what a great teacher she is. It is clear she remains involved in 4-H because she enjoys teaching: teaching the 4-H members and their parents about rabbits and cavies while teaching our 4-H volunteers about working with youth.

We are so thankful to Leslie and Evelyn for their choice to continue to volunteer their time with 4-H and with the 4-H Fair in particular. We are very proud of their contributions and influence on our 4-H members.

Congratulations again to Evelyn Enos and Leslie Ardison, two hard working sisters who make very important contributions to the Worcester County 4-H Fair!
Past Dedications:
2010 - John "Ricky" Hardaker
2009 - 4-H Youth and Adult Volunteers
2008 - Dale Davies
2007 - Paul and Diane Samuelson
2006 - Rosanne Ingalls
2005 - Gerald Audette
2004 - Rebecca Doane
2003 - Norman Mercier
2002 - Priscilla Walker
2000 - Phyllis MacKay
